Online Learning Sample Class
This sample lesson will provide you a sense for how materials are presented within the online course. There is one main module in the sample called: Understanding the Present and Predicting the Future.
This class module, Understanding the Present and Predicting the Future, presents the factors that define the present state of your business processes and builds a model that defines the existing methods for how your business processes operate. Next, you will define improvement opportunities that will make the process better and more efficient. Then you will learn to evaluate these improvements to identify which will be part of the new process. Finally, you will build your new process model that defines the future process. These items will be covered along with the methods for getting this new process approved by management and moved to development and implementation.
The class sample module is taken from the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification curriculum. This module, like all modules in the online course, has been designed to be 508 compliant and conform to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA.

Instructor
Frank Vega is the founder of The Efficiency Group, with almost 30 years of experience working with government agencies and private enterprises. He completed his graduate studies at The American University in Washington DC and received his Lean Practitioner certification from Villanova University. Frank is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
Throughout his career, Frank honed the process of systems re-engineering and business function improvement utilizing Lean Six Sigma techniques. This effort resulted in the development of the proprietary HELIX-S Methodology.
He has extensive expertise working with federal agencies including the Department of State, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the National Institutes of Health. Frank frequently briefs senior leadership on Lean Six Sigma deployment and often speaks at conferences on a wide variety of issues related to business process improvement.
